The Indian Institute of Innovation (IIT)- Madras is still the country’s finest in the field of higher education, according to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) launched on Thursday.
These rankings come a day after the QS World University Rankings showed that India’s finest– including IISc and most IITs– have actually slipped in the international lists. This is due to the high weightage given to the understanding specification in a lot of global rankings, Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said at the NIRF release.
