The ministry stressed the need to respect religious symbols and avoid polarization at a time when the world should work together to spread the values ​​of tolerance and coexistence and reject hatred, extremism.

Muslim countries Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) have also condemned the incident. Turkey also protested against the incident and has summoned the Dutch ambassador to express its displeasure.
