Deaths drop from 130 to 113 in 2016-18
The Maternal Death Ratio (MMR) in India has actually declined to 113 in 2016-18 from 122 in 2015-17 and 130 in 2014-2016, according to the special publication on Maternal Mortality in India 2016-18, launched by the Office of the Registrar General’s Sample Registration System (SRS).
