Nepalese media report says call between Modi and Oli has failed to materialise.
India is open to discussion with all its neighbours, the Authorities Representative of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Thursday responding to sharp remarks emanating from Kathmandu relating to the Kalapani territorial disagreement
The representative, Anurag Srivastava, maintained that dialogue with Nepal required “positive efforts” even as a Nepalese media outlet reported on Thursday that an expected telephone discussion between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his equivalent K. P. Sharma Oli has actually stopped working to materialise.
” On the recent developments on limit problem … India is open to engaging with all its neighbours on the basis of shared level of sensitivity and mutual respect, in an environment of trust and confidence,” Mr. Srivastava said, making a declaration on India’s relations with Nepal.
