The Supreme Court on Thursday bought the Centre to consult with Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana authorities to devise a “typical, uniform” pass system for inter-State movement in the National Capital Area (NCR) areas during the pandemic.
Noting that the common man ought to not suffer, a Bench led by Justice Ashok Bhushan stated the Centre and the three States must meet and decide in a week on a typical pass system.
” The petition states that in the NCR area there ought to be one policy, one pass acknowledged by all the 3 States to prevent confusion, trouble to commoner … Assemble a conference of the States’ officials and endeavour to find out a typical program with respect to inter-State movement in the NCR,” the court ordered.
