Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet US President Donald Trump in Washington to discuss Iran, following recent US-Iran talks in Oman and debate over missiles and nuclear enrichment.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to meet US President Donald Trump in Washington on Wednesday with discussions likely to focus on negotiations with Iran, Netanyahu’s office said on Saturday.
According to the statement, Netanyahu believes any agreement with Tehran must place limits on Iran’s ballistic missile programme and end its support for allied regional groups, often referred to by Israel as the Iranian “axis”.
The planned meeting follows renewed diplomatic engagement between Iran and the United States. Iranian and U.S. officials held talks in Oman on Friday, after which Trump said negotiations would continue early next week.

“Even with bombing they could not destroy our capabilities,” Araghchi said, according to excerpts of an interview with Al Jazeera released in Persian on his official Telegram channel.
The upcoming Trump–Netanyahu meeting is expected to take place against the backdrop of heightened regional tensions and growing debate over the scope and direction of any future U.S.–Iran agreement.
“We are ready to reach a reassuring agreement on enrichment,” he added during the interview, which was later released in parts by Al Jazeera with Arabic dubbing.
He said, however, that “Iran’s sovereign position is opposition to transferring uranium abroad”.
“The Iranian nuclear case will only be resolved through negotiations,” he add
