Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the G-20 summit. The G-20 summit will be held in Bali city of Indonesia from 14 to 17 November. Jinping will hold talks there with US President Joe Biden and prominent world leaders. The Chinese Foreign Ministry has announced this on Friday.
According to social agency PTI, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said that Jinping will also participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 17 to 19.
Last month, the Congress of the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC), held once in five years, was held. In this, Xi Jinping was elected as the General Secretary for a third five-year term. After this, this will be Jinping’s first foreign trip. Significantly, Jinping is the first leader after party founder Mao Zedong to remain in power after completing a 10-year term.

According to spokesperson Hua, on the sidelines of the G-20 summit and the meeting of APEC economic leaders, Xi will hold bilateral talks with French President Emmanuel Macron, US President Biden, Senegalese President Macky Sall, Argentine President Alberto Fernandez, among others.
His meeting with Joe Biden will be the first in-person summit after being elected as the US President. However, both have held several virtual summits. Xi Jinping will visit Thailand at the invitation of Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.
Significantly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also participate in the G-20 summit. This is significant for India as on December 1, India will take over the chairmanship of the powerful grouping from the current Indonesian president. The G20 grouping is a forum of major developed and developing economies of the world.
