JNU student and activist Natasha Narwal charged under UAPA

Natasha Narwal, a JNU trainee and activist associated with females’s student cumulative Pinjra Tod, was arrested on Friday under the rigid Unlawful Activities (Avoidance) Act (UAPA) for her alleged role in the communal riots in north-east Delhi in February, a senior police main claimed on Friday.

Ms Narwal was jailed by the special cell of the Delhi police, which has actually been tasked with penetrating the “conspiracy” behind the Delhi riots.

On Thursday, Ms Narwal and another Pinjra Tod activist Devangana Kalita were sent out to judicial custody for 14 days in a case associated to common violence in northeast Delhi.
