has said his administration will rescind the Trump administration’s ban on the
H-1B visas
on day one of his presidency. Biden also said bolstering ties with New Delhi, a “natural partner,” will be a high priority for his administration, despite his disquiet on India’s actions in Kashmir and the citizenship issue.
The Democratic candidate’s position on foreign relations and immigration were spelled out at two virtual events and on his website over the past week as he began a more public articulation of sharply divergent position from President Trump on several issues. “He (Trump) ended H-1B visas the rest of this year. That will not be in my administration. The people coming on these visas have built this country,” Biden said during an event with Asian American & Pacific Islander (APIA) community last week, according to a transcript released by the APIA Vote.
