Kamala Harris VS Trump: Who is leading in the survey conducted before the US presidential elections?

In the race for America’s Vice President and President, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris is leading by 47 percent over Republican Donald Trump in the race to win the elections to be held on November 5. Whereas Donald Trump’s score is 42 percent. According to the Reuters/Ipsos survey, his lead has increased after the debate against the former President. Voters believe that Kamala Harris has won the debate.

In the two-day survey, Kamala Harris got a five percent lead among registered voters. Among voters who said they had heard at least something about Tuesday’s debate, 53 percent said Harris won and 24 percent said Trump won, while the rest said they did not listen to the debate.

52 percent of people who listened to the debate said that Trump was faltering and did not look sharp, while the number of people who said this about Harris was 21 percent. One in five Republican voters said Trump did not look sharp.

What did the voters who watched the debate say about the performance?

Kamala Harris (59) put Donald Trump (78) in defensive mode in the presidential debate, in which she was attacked over her qualifications for the post and the numerous cases filed against her. In the debate held in Philadelphia, many Republicans were also not confident about the performance of their candidate. 53 percent of Republican voters surveyed said that Trump won the debate, while 91 percent of Democrats said that he was the winner. Among Republicans, 31 percent said no one won and 14 percent said Harris defeated Trump.

91 percent of voters registered in the survey said that they had heard something about the debate and 44 percent said that they had heard a lot.

Will Trump’s age become an issue?

The debate, hosted by ABC News, attracted 67.1 million television viewers, according to Nielsen data, up from about 51 million people who watched Trump’s debate with then-candidate President Joe Biden in June. Due to Biden’s poor performance in that debate, many Democrats asked him not to run for re-election. Now Trump is the oldest candidate in this race and the survey found that 52 percent of voters consider Trump too old to work in the government, while 7 percent said the same about Harris.

The survey took responses from 1,690 American youth across the country, which included 1,405 registered voters. While national surveys, including those by Reuters/Ipsos, provide important signals on voter views, state-by-state results of the Electoral College determine the winner, with a handful of battleground states likely to be decisive.
