The health of three-time Prime Minister of Bangladesh and BNP President Khaleda Zia remains critical. 80-year-old Jiah was admitted to a private hospital on November 23 due to chest infection and heart-lung problems. Four days later, as his health complications worsened, he was transferred to the coronary care unit.

BNP General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that doctors have said that he may need treatment abroad, but in his current physical condition this is not possible. If his condition remains stable, treatment abroad will be reconsidered.
