Mumbai Weather Latest Updates: It rained so much in Mumbai from yesterday (25th September) evening till late night that the pace of Mayanagari came to a halt. Everything had come to a standstill, low lying areas were submerged. The Meteorological Department had issued a red alert till 8:30 am today, which has been extended till 1 pm. This means that clouds of crisis are currently looming over Mumbai.

The financial capital of the country was once again in ruins. The metropolis which collects the highest tax was once again drowned in three hours of rain. Mumbai remained a sea throughout the night, roads were submerged and vehicles started floating, societies were filled to the brim. Those going home at night had to walk drowning. After all, why has it become Mumbai’s destiny to drown in even a little rain? Red alert will remain in place till noon and schools and colleges are closed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Pune also had to be cancelled.

Woman dies after falling into manhole
