Lucknow: Saudi Airlines aircraft showed sparks and smoke during landing

A technical fault occurred during landing in a Saudi Airlines plane at Lucknow Airport. The wheel and smoke started coming out of the wheel of the aircraft. This incident caused chaos. It is a matter of honor that in time, all the passengers were taken out safely and the fire brigade team controlled the fire.

According to the information, a technical fault in landing gear occurred during landing at Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport in Lucknow on Sunday morning in the Saudi Airlines plane carrying 250 Haj pilgrims. Seeing the spark and smoke coming out of the wheel, the pilot stopped the aircraft and informed the air traffic control.

After this, the aircraft was pushed back and taken to the taxi-way, where all the passengers were safely taken out. The airport fire team immediately reacted and used foam and water to control the situation within 20 minutes.

Saudi Airlines aircraft SV-3112 left from Jeddah Airport at 10:45 pm on Saturday and reached Lucknow Airport at 6:30 am on Sunday. According to airport sources, after the landing, smoke and spark were seen coming out of the left wheel and the engineers worked to fix the problem. However, the technical problem could not be solved till 9:30 pm that night.

The pilot managed to safely land the aircraft despite the problem caused by a sudden leakage in the hydraulic system. This incident caused chaos and sources indicated that if it had happened during the takeoff, it could have caused a big accident. Fortunately, the pilot’s quick understanding postponed any major accident. There was no accident in the flight.
