All 62 people on board the plane are reported dead in this accident. Local officials present near the accident site said that a regional turboprop plane carrying 62 people crashed near Sao Paulo, Brazil on Friday, killing all the people on board.
Officials in the town of Valinhos, near Vinhedo, said no one survived and that a home in a local condominium complex was damaged. However, no one in the home was reported injured.
The ATR-72 plane operated by airline Vopas Linhas Aereas was flying from Cascavel in Parana state to Guarulhos in Sao Paulo. Sao Paulo’s state fire brigade confirmed on social media that a plane had crashed in Vinhedo and sent seven crews to the crash area.

The video shows the plane falling into a tree-lined area, followed by a cloud of smoke. At an event in southern Brazil, President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva expressed grief over the accident and asked those present to stand and observe a minute of silence.
