Due to Meta server down on Wednesday night across the world, messaging platform WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Thread users faced massive outage. In India, around 11 pm, users started complaining about the outage of meta platforms. Users have been facing problems in sending or receiving messages on WhatsApp. Besides, services on popular chatbot ChatGPT and OpenAI’s API and Sora video generator platforms were also disrupted.
Similarly, there was problem in uploading feed on Instagram, Facebook and Thread. Let us tell you that apart from WhatsApp, Meta also owns Instagram, Facebook and Thread.
Users of these four popular social media platforms had to face problems for more than an hour. Around 2 am, the Meta outage was resolved and users could again start using its social media platforms without any interruption. There was a flood of memes on social media platform X regarding the outage of meta platforms. At this time, users started trending WhatsApp down, Instagram down and Facebook down on the microblogging platform owned by Elon Musk. Meta Down and Mark Zuckerberg were also trending on X. Users were trolling Meta and Zuckerberg through memes, videos and opinions.
