WASHINGTON: The unnerving prospect of suspension of civil liberties, imposition of martial law, and military takeovers is looming over the United States and many other countries as the coronavirus Covid-19 starts to infect vital institutions and services such as legislative bodies, judiciary, policing and medical staff itself.
Amid the first reports of lawmakers, policemen, and medical professionals contracting the virus, the US government is said to have readied Top Secret contingency plans for military intervention if all Constitutional successors are incapacitated.
