A person running a security agency in Delhi had to become a victim of cyber fraud. The thugs took out Rs 50 lakh from his account. The victim says that he did not even share his OTP number with anyone. Despite this, went to withdraw money from his account. Cyber Cell of Delhi Police has registered a case and started investigation.
The victim told the police that on November 13, he received a call from an unknown number. He picks up the phone but no sound comes from behind. Then many times he gets a missed call. During this, he also picked up the phone 2 to 3 times but could not tell anyone. This process went on for about 1 hour. After some time a message comes, seeing which they are shocked. Because 50 lakh rupees had flown from his account.
According to DCP Cyber Cell, the victim had received the OTP as the mobile was hacked. That’s why they could not know. Such cyber thugs carry out the crime from Jamtara. An FIR has been registered in this matter and efforts are being made to nab the culprits.
