Moody’s Investors Service downgraded India’s sovereign credit rating for the first time in more than twenty years on June 1.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on June 2 voiced issue over the state of India’s economy, saying worldwide ranking company Moody’s has described its handling by Prime Minister Narendra Modi “an action above scrap”.

” Moody’s has rated Modi’s handling of India’s economy a step above SCRAP. Lack of support to the bad and the MSME sector implies the worst is yet to come,” he stated on Twitter.
