By Manjeet Negi: The Indian Navy is keeping a close eye on the motion of a Chinese research study vessel from the minute it went into the Indian Ocean Region (IOR), defence sources informed India Today.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Navy chief Admiral R Hari Kumar stated the Indian Navy needs to stay a “combat-ready, reliable, cohesive and future-proof force” to browse the unstable security situation. He made these remarks in an address to leading marine leaders amidst China’s increasing assertiveness in the Indian Ocean area, news firm PTI reported.

In his remarks, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan restated the requirement for functional readiness, self-reliance and the requirement for more combination in the militaries towards jointly fulfilling India’s nationwide security imperatives.
