Over 40 individuals are feared to have actually passed away after a boat overwhelmed with guests sank on a river in northwestern Nigeria, authorities stated on Sunday.

A regional authorities stated that a wood boat bring 53 farmers capsized as it was transferring them throughout the river to reach their farmlands near to Gummi town on Saturday early morning. Regional authorities promptly mobilised homeowners for a rescue operation and 12 survivors were pulled from the water.
