In the third term of Modi government, many new ministers are getting a chance because BJP is forming the government with its allies. Two MPs of TDP, which won 16 seats in Andhra Pradesh, will also take oath as ministers. Among them, Ram Mohan Naidu, MP from Srikakulam seat, will take oath as cabinet minister and Chandrashekhar Pemmasani, MP from Guntur, will take oath as minister of state. Chandrashekhar Pemmasani has been given the responsibility of Minister of State in the Ministry of Rural Development and Minister of State in the Ministry of Communication.

Chandrasekhar Pemmasani defeated YSRCP’s sitting MLA Kilari Venkata Rosaiah from Ponnur in Guntur seat by about three and a half lakh votes. While Chandrasekhar got 8 lakh 64 thousand 948 votes, Venkata Rosaiah got 5 lakh 20 thousand 253 votes. According to Pemmasani’s affidavit, his total assets are Rs 5,705 crore. He was the richest candidate in the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

Pemmasani completed his MBBS from NTR University of Health Sciences in 1999. After that, in 2005, he obtained MD in Internal Medicine from Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania, USA. Despite living abroad, Pemmasani maintained relations with Guntur and now he has been elected from here to the country’s largest panchayat and after that he is becoming a minister in Modi Government 3.0. It is not that Pemmasani has entered politics recently, he has been actively participating in TDP programs since a long time.

Apart from politics, Dr Pemmasani is known for entrepreneurship. He is the founder and CEO of UWorld, an online learning platform that has been instrumental in helping students prepare for various competitive exams. He gained recognition when he won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2020. With investments in over 100 companies and properties in India and the US, Dr Pemmasani’s wealth is astonishing. His movable assets include two Mercedes cars, a Tesla and a Rolls Royce.

Which party got how many seats?

If we talk about 543 seats, BJP has got 240 seats, Congress 99, Samajwadi Party 37, Trinamool Congress 29, DMK 22, TDP 16, JDU 12, Shiv Sena (UBT) 9, NCP (Sharad Pawar) 8, Shiv Sena 7, LJP Ram Vilas 5, YSRCP 4, RJD 4, CPIM 4, IUML-AAP-JMM 3-3-3 seats. Apart from this, Pawan Kalyan’s Jansena, CPIML, JDUS, RLD, JKN have got 2-2-2-2-2 seats. Some parties have won one seat each and 7 independents have won in this election.
