After a day’s long programme in Kashi, Prime Minister Modi suddenly arrived in Varanasi to review the ongoing work for the construction of the stadium and sports complex. Here he inspected the indoor sports complex being built. During this, CM Yogi was also present with him. Once this stadium is ready, it will meet the needs of the youth and further enhance the sports culture in Varanasi. Officials said that Prime Minister Modi will stay at the guesthouse of Banaras Railway Engine Factory at night. After this, he will leave for Bihar on Wednesday.
In fact, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday offered prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath temple and took the blessings of the Lord in his first visit to his parliamentary constituency Varanasi after the Lok Sabha elections. Before visiting the temple, Modi addressed the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Sammelan in Mehndiganj and participated in the Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were also present at the temple with the Prime Minister.

PM Modi said in a post on X, “I prayed at Kashi Vishwanath temple for the progress of India and prosperity of 140 crore Indians. May the blessings of Mahadev always remain on all of us and may everyone be happy and healthy.” He said in another post in Hindi on X, “I prayed to Baba for the happiness, peace, prosperity and good health of all citizens.”

The new university began functioning in 2014 from a temporary location with 14 students. Construction work on the university began in 2017.
