After this the politics of Punjab has heated up. Opposition leaders have sought clarification from CM Bhagwant Mann. Also said that Bhagwant Mann’s statement is irresponsible.
In fact, Goldie Brar has said in a message sent to the Punjab Police and agencies through a YouTuber that she has not been detained by the American police. Along with this, the claim that he is seeking asylum is also completely false. Brar said that he was neither in Canada nor in America. But it was somewhere in Europe.

Opposition targets Bhagwant Mann

Also said that he should also tell from which source he had received this information, on the basis of which he had claimed that Goldie Brar has been detained.
Hitting out at Bhagwant Mann, Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warding said that he should tell the people whether the Punjab Police has set up a hotline between Punjab and the US. Normally such information is shared with the Ministry of External Affairs. America is not answerable to the Punjab government. It seems that the Punjab government was in touch with US President Joe Biden.
Criticizing the Bhagwant Mann government, Punjab’s Leader of Opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa appealed to the Ministry of External Affairs to clarify whether Goldie Brar was arrested or not.
