There is news of heavy destruction due to cloudburst in two districts of Himachal Pradesh. The cloudburst incident has happened in Kullu and Mandi district. Many people of a power plant project located in Samej of Rampur area of ​​Kullu are missing since the cloudburst. More than 20 houses have been razed to the ground and many vehicles have been washed away, the school of the area also got washed away in the flood. One body has been recovered after the cloudburst in Mandi district while many are missing. Mandi district administration has alerted the Air Force for rescue. The local administration present on the spot is engaged in relief work.

Many people missing, rescue operation difficult

Along with the Air Force, help has also been sought from the NDRF. It is not possible to reach the people trapped in Thaltukhod, so now people will be evacuated with the help of the Air Force and the NDRF. Cloudburst has caused heavy destruction in fifteen to twenty areas adjacent to Shimla and Rampur in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. According to the information, Kurpan, Samej and Ganvi ravines have been flooded due to cloudburst near Nain Sarovar on the Shrikhand hills. Devastation has been caused by the overflowing of the drain in Ganvi of Shimla district and Bagipul Bazaar of Kullu district.

Cloudburst causes devastation in Ghansali

The continuous torrential rain in Uttarakhand since Tuesday has caused a lot of destruction. First there was heavy rain in Tehri and then a cloud burst, killing three people. A cloud burst on the Kedarnath route too and a part of the National Highway was flooded. This has also caused heavy damage to the Kedarnath pilgrimage route. The footpath between Rambada and Lincholi has been damaged at many places. Two bridges on the Mandakini river in Rambada were washed away. These bridges were located on the old route. This route was used as a shortcut by travellers and horse operators. These bridges were washed away in the strong current of the Mandakini river in last night’s rain. Apart from this, pictures of floods are also coming from Haridwar, Nainital and Bageshwar.

Two people were buried alive in the debris and another is missing due to cloudburst near Jakhaniyali on Ghansali Kedarnath motor road in Tehri district. After the disaster incident in Jakhaniyali village of Ghansali late last night, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami took stock of the situation by talking to Jakhaniyali resident Pradhan Pratinidhi Deepak Shriyal through phone. The CM said that he is talking to all the officials and giving necessary instructions. So far, three people of the same family have died tragically in the Jakhaniyali disaster, while a sadhu is still reported missing.

After heavy rains in Kullu, the Vyas and Parvati rivers are in spate. Its effect is visible on the areas settled on the banks. The surging waves of the Vyas river razed a building under construction to the ground. Kullu-Manali NH 3 has been disrupted due to the spate in the river.

Many vehicles got buried under the debris due to the collapse of the 14 feet high boundary wall. An electricity pole was also damaged due to the collapse of the boundary wall.

The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in Kerala today as well, even this series of rains is going to continue till August 4. There are a total of 14 districts in Kerala. Out of which 9 districts have heavy rain alert. At the same time, light to moderate rain may occur in 6 districts.

Waterlogging in Jaipur, 3 children along with their father missing

The rain continues to wreak havoc in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The city roads, airport, railway station, police station, hospital have all become rivers. The slums are completely submerged. The civil defence team is removing water from the houses with the help of motors. 3 children along with their father have gone missing since the floods started here. However, the civil defence has not found anyone’s body yet.
