NEW DELHI: Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot on Friday marched a group of Congress MLAs towards Raj Bhawan claiming that he has the required numbers and called for an assembly session on Monday.
Gehlot’s statement came shortly after Rajasthan high court accepted Sachin Pilot‘s plea to make Centre a party in petition filed by former deputy chief minister and 18 Congress MLAs against the disqualification notice served to them by the assembly speaker.

Gehlot added that the governor is not calling the assembly session despite his request is not understandable. “Probably he is under pressure from above,” he said.

Gehlot added that if the governor fails to summon the session, all the Congress MLAs will reach Raj Bhawan and collectively request him.
“If the entire public of the state now gherao the Raj Bhawan, we will not be responsible,” he said.
