Police officers asked to remember identity cards issued to the members.
Senior police officers throughout the State instructed authorities stations to recall the identity cards provided to the FoPs and not engage the volunteers in any police-related activities, cops sources said on Sunday.
The move follows a controversy over FoP volunteers being engaged to beat P. Jayaraj and his child J. Benicks in the Sattankulam cops station on the night of June 19, 2020, after they were jailed for allegedly breaking the COVID-19 lockdown conditions and avoiding the cops from releasing their duty.
