The Chief Justice stated that Lord Jagannath will not forgive us if we allow this year’s Rath Yatra to go on.
The Supreme Court on Thursday remained the annual Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri scheduled on June23
” We direct that there shall be no ‘rath yatra’ throughout the temple town of Odisha or in any other part of the State this year. We even more direct that there shall be no activities nonreligious or religious connected with the rath yatra during this duration”, the court bought.
” Lord Jagannath will not forgive us if we permit the yatra,” Chief Justice of India (CJI) S.A. Bobde observed orally.
