The cops action comes days after veteran separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani revealed his total disassociation from politics.

Separatist Hurriyat leader Ashraf Sehrai and some members of the prohibited Jamaat-e-Islami have been apprehended and are likely to be reserved under the strict Public Safety Act, Jammu and Kashmir authorities primary Dilbagh Singh said on Sunday.

Mr. Sehrai is chairperson of the pro-Pakistan group Tehreek-e-Hurriyat.
