Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s aide has been detained in Azerbaijan in connection with the Sidhu Moose Wala Murder case, said sources.
The key suspect, Sachin Bishnoi, used a fake passport for international travel. He had changed his identity to Tilak Raj Toteja.
He has been on the run after he claimed responsibility for the killing of Punjabi singer-turned politician Moose Wala near his native village in the Mansa district of Punjab on May 29.
The Delhi Police had said one of the key conspirators of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s killing, Sachin, fled India over a month before the incident.
According to sources, Sachin Bishnoi was detained and the process of bringing him back to India had started. They said police were in contact with the police officers Azerbaijan. Punjab Police will soon bring Sachin to Punjab and start questioning, they said.
According to sources, a month ago, security agencies in Azerbaijan had surrounded Sachin, the top officials of Punjab Police were keeping tabs on the developments.

The Interpol had earlier issued a Red Corner Notice against Satinderjeet Singh alias Goldy Brar who claimed responsibility for Moosewala’s killing.
Last month, Ambala police arrested four shooters of the Goldy Brar gang involved in the shooting of Punjabi singer and politician Sidhu Moose Wala. The shooters were working for Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar.
