After meeting Dr. Uzma Khan, sister of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, the family has now made a big announcement by adopting a sharp stance against the government and the jail administration. Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan announced that the family would now sit in protest outside Adiala jail every Tuesday and would leave only when six family members and six lawyers were allowed to meet Khan regularly.

Alima’s statement has come at a time when her sister Dr. Uzma Khan, after meeting Imran Khan, said that her health is completely fine, but she is being kept in isolation and being mentally tortured. According to Uzma, Khan is extremely angry and said that he is kept locked in the cell for most of the day and is not allowed to talk to anyone. Imran has held Asim Munir responsible for this.

Alima Khan said that the family is not going to remain silent now. He said, “We will sit outside Adiala jail every Tuesday. We will not move until six family members and six lawyers are allowed to meet Imran Khan.”

He also clarified that PTI will continue its own strike every Thursday.

Alima Khan accused the government of trying to put pressure on the family and the party by shutting down contacts. He said, “If they think that silence will break us, they are wrong. The more they stop, the stronger the resistance will be. The solution to this entire situation is possible only through transparency and restoration of legal rights.”

Tight security outside Adiala jail

This announcement by Imran Khan’s sisters has come in an environment when Section 144 is already in force in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, and police forces are deployed on the entire Adiala Road. According to officials, the 8 kilometer area is completely sealed, schools and colleges are closed and citizens are being asked to show identity cards for movement.

Movement intensified after rumors on social media

Let us tell you that due to the family not being allowed to meet for the last one month, questions were being raised on social media about Khan’s survival. In view of the fear of law and order deteriorating, the jail administration later allowed Uzma Khan to meet her.

But on behalf of the family and the party, it is being said that it was a late and forced decision.

Amid fears of deteriorating law and order, PTI has warned that if anything happens to Imran Khan, those responsible will have to answer in Pakistan and abroad.
