A heart-wrenching news has come out from Betul district of Madhya Pradesh, where two Municipal Council employees committed suicide by jumping into a well. The incident took place in Bazar police station area. The deceased have been identified as 48-year-old Rajni Dundele and 29-year-old Mithun. Both of them had left the house on Tuesday evening and did not return throughout the night, after which the family lodged a complaint with the police.
Actually, Rajni was a clerk in the Municipal Council, while Mithun was working in the Water Supply Department. Rajni was a widow and considered Mithun like a son. Both of them worked in the same office and hence both were accused of having an affair. Police have found a suicide note from Rajni’s house, which has made the whole matter more serious.

Reasons for stress and revelations of suicide note
Rajni has mentioned deep pain in the suicide note. She wrote that it had become unbearable to hear the taunts of having an affair on the same relationship with people whom she considered like her son. People in the office looked at him in a bad light and raised questions on his character. In the note, Rajini has written the names of 4-5 people, who have been accused of taunting and pointing fingers at his character.
Betul police said that the investigation is being carried forward on the basis of this suicide note. Both were under mental stress due to the office environment and the misrepresentation of their relationship.
The whole story from disappearance to finding the dead body
Both had left the house on Tuesday evening. Rajni had left her phone at home, while Mithun had taken his mobile with him. After tracing the location, the police reached Byawadi village. Rajni and Mithun’s slippers, mobile phone and bike were found near a field there. After this the SDRF team was called and the bodies of both were recovered from the well on Wednesday morning.
Rajni has a son and two daughters in her family. The son was going to get married soon, but the atmosphere of happiness was suddenly filled with mourning. This incident has created a deep sensation in the family and the area.
Police investigation and further action
SDOP Sunil Lata said that the role of 4-5 people whose names have been written in the suicide note will be investigated. Call detail records (CDR) of both are also being extracted so that the truth of the entire matter can be revealed. The police are considering it as a serious case and are investigating from every angle.
