Lekhpal Sukhveer, posted in BKT tehsil of Lucknow, himself became a victim of beating while helping the injured youth. After the accident, the relatives of the injured considered him the attacker and beat him mercilessly with sticks. Sukhveer became unconscious due to serious head injury. Police have registered the case and started searching for the accused.

Lekhpal Sukhveer, posted in BKT tehsil of Lucknow, was attacked on Tuesday afternoon when he was helping two youths injured in a road accident. At around 1 pm, two youths riding a bike slipped and fell in front of the LDA camp office of Purva village. Sukhveer present at the spot immediately picked him up and took him to the nearby Om Polyclinic Hospital.
As soon as the relatives of the injured reached the hospital during treatment, they misunderstood that the accident had happened because of the accountant. After this, the family members along with some local youth attacked Sukhveer. It is alleged that many people including Himanshu, Akash, Shiva, Harshit, Vishal beat him with sticks. Sukhveer suffered serious head injury in the attack and he became unconscious on the spot.

Police registered a case
With the help of local people, Sukhveer was admitted to the hospital. After regaining consciousness, he lodged a complaint against the attackers at Sairpur police station. Sukhveer told that the attackers knew that he was on government duty, yet the attack was carried out. The station in-charge said that a case has been registered and the police is busy searching for the accused.
