A resolution looking for the consentaneous choice of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as the president of the celebration was gone by the basic council of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) here on Monday. The resolution, read out by TNCC president K.S. Alagiri, stimulated an emotive reaction from the members of the basic council, who appeared to completely back the concept of Mr. Gandhi’s elevation as the celebration’s president by yelling mottos. Mr. Alagiri stated the understanding of a management crisis in the Congress was the workmanship of the BJP. “I will mention this honestly: you can ask any Congress employee in any State, from Kashmir to Kanniyakumari, whether they desire Rahul Gandhi or somebody else as celebration president. They will state they desire Rahul Gandhi,” he stated. “The celebration accepts him. He has a clear concept and a long-lasting vision. It does not matter whether Rahul Gandhi is formally holding the post of the president. He is the president of the Indian National Congress,” he stated. Mr. Alagiri stated the BJP was raking up worthless problems as the celebration had no perfects. “They are attempting to divide the nation based upon religious beliefs, caste, ethnic culture and language.
