Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) is conducting recruitment for more than 60 thousand constable posts. The exams for which are starting from Friday 23 August and will end on 31 August. A large number of candidates are seen on the first day of the exam. Candidates reached the respective city a day before to give the paper on 23 August. On Thursday night, a crowd of police candidates was seen at Jhansi railway station. When the students did not get a place, they slept on the platform itself. At the same time, some students were seen studying on the platform itself.

A huge crowd of students was also seen at Kanpur station

A large number of police candidates were seen at Kanpur railway station. The situation was such that the crowd of candidates was seen from the compartments to the bathrooms. At the same time, the station was also full of candidates and the candidates were seen sleeping in the open on the platform itself.

The administration is claiming to run additional trains

The administration has claimed to run new trains and buses so that students can easily reach the police recruitment exam centre. Despite this, a huge crowd of students was seen in buses and trains. The situation was such that students had to lie down on the floor of the train to reach the exam centre.

The paper was leaked in February

The UP Police recruitment paper was leaked in February 2024. After which the police candidates had demanded the government to cancel the exam. The government had canceled the paper on the demands of the candidates. After which now the police recruitment exam is being conducted on 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 August. The administration has made tight security arrangements for the police exam.

More than 48 lakh candidates will participate

If the figures are to be believed, more than 48 lakh candidates will appear for the police recruitment exam. Conducting the exam of such a large number of candidates simultaneously is becoming a tough challenge for the administration. The exam will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift exam will be held from 10 am to 12 noon. While the second shift exam will be held from 3 pm to 5 pm.
