After this, the hard work should also be of the same level… This is what Ved Lahoti, the All India topper of JEE Advanced-2024 and the highest scorer in this exam so far, has to say. Ved was determined to break the record of JEE-Advanced and he achieved it. Ved has secured All India Rank-1 in JEE-Advanced and has broken the record of highest marks so far by scoring 355 out of 360 marks.

Ved believes in taking logical answers to everything. In childhood, if he scored low marks in any subject in school, he would take his grandfather to school and keep asking the teachers why he got low marks. This passion remains even today. He got two questions wrong in JEE-Advanced and Ved has challenged for this too that how did they go wrong. In the family, maternal grandfather RC Somani is a retired engineer. Mother Jaya Lahoti is a housewife and father Yogesh Lahoti is a construction manager in Reliance Jio.

Ved has been studying at Allen Career Institute for the last several years. Ved, who has set his sights on JEE-Advanced, has not yet decided which institute and which branch he wants to pursue his career in. He had scored 98.6 per cent in class 10 and 97.6 per cent in class 12. In JEE-Main 2024, he secured All India Rank 119 with 295 marks out of 300.

Ved is a complete studious student. He keeps reading something or the other while eating or sitting idle and is interested in learning about new subjects. Ved Lahoti believes in smart work. He listens to his teachers completely and studies as per their instructions. He studies as much as the teachers tell him to study on the topic. The purpose behind this is to avoid unnecessary hard work. If the teachers ask him to practice, then he has to practice. Ved says that he should have faith in his hard work. If you have worked hard according to the target, then you will definitely get success. To learn, it is necessary to practice as much as possible.
maths favourite subject
Ved’s favourite subject is Maths and that’s why he likes solving questions a lot. He likes solving questions in Maths and that’s why he gives full time to Physics questions. After this he studies other subjects. As of now there is no fixed schedule for studies. The study schedule is decided according to the classes. Ved never compromises on taking 8 hours of sleep. He tries to follow a regular routine. Ved is fond of playing chess and cricket but he has never participated in the school or district level team for these. Apart from this his only hobby is reading and whenever he gets time he keeps reading something or the other. Apart from this Ved does not have any hobby like watching TV or watching movies.

Mother and maternal grandfather are motivators
For Ved, his mother Jaya Lahoti and his maternal grandfather RC Somani are real motivations. Whenever he is in trouble, he talks to them and moves forward by listening to them. While living in his hometown Indore, he used to stay with his maternal grandfather for everything, while his mother supported him completely during his studies in Kota. Even during the exams, his mother was completely with him and kept motivating him.
I was adamant to study in Kota
Ved wanted to study in Kota. Ved gave Allen Talentex exam in class 6 and also took admission in Allen. He had decided to come to Kota after passing class 10. He had heard a lot about Kota. Considering the competition here and Ved’s desire to study here, he started studying in Allen Kota. He found Kota to be even better than what he had heard. He found the atmosphere, facilities and level of faculties here to be very different. Ved considers this the biggest decision in fulfilling his goal.
Friends gave tough competition
Ved faced tough competition in his batch. The level of students studying with him was also of the same level as Ved. In such a situation, there was complete competition with friends for every single mark in the test. There were very good discussions in the class regarding doubts. This was the reason that topics became clear and subjects became strong.

Academic career of Ved
Scored 98.6 percent marks in class 10th and 97.6 percent marks in class 12th. In JEE-Main 2024, he got All India Rank 119 with 295 marks out of 300. Ved Lahoti has been good in studies since childhood. Got International Rank-2 in IMO in class 5 and 6. Won Gold Medal in International Junior Science Olympiad in class 8. Got Rank-1 in Techkriti-2020-21 of IIT Kanpur. Apart from this, got selected in camps and finals for many Olympiads. Got rank in finals from class 6 to 10 in Talentex. Got All India Rank-9 in Allen Champ in class 8.
