A trip to Punjab, a little help from a friend and a bit of luck, this vegetable vendor has changed his life forever after winning a jackpot of Rs 11 crore in the state lottery. Amit Sehra, who came to Chandigarh to complete the formalities after winning the lottery, told his story with tearful eyes. He said that he did not even have money to come to Chandigarh to collect the lottery prize. After borrowing, he went to collect the money.
Bought the ticket by borrowing it from a friend
Amit Sehra, a resident of Kotputli, Jaipur, sells vegetables. He had bought a lottery ticket from a shop in Bathinda, for which he had to borrow money from a friend. Luck favored him and he won the top prize of Punjab State Lottery-Diwali Bumper 2025. The lottery result was declared on 31 October.
He said, ‘It is God’s blessings that he has given me ‘chhappar faad ke’ (sudden and huge amount of money).’ Sehra told that she is very happy with this big victory and now her financial problems will end.
