Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) got into Lucknow on Friday (May 23). Where Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 231/6 thanks to Ishaan Kishan’s 94 runs while playing first.
In response, RCB himself made many mistakes in the match, due to which he lost. RCB’s team was all out for 189 runs, thus defeating by 42 runs. This defeat has shocked RCB’s hopes of reaching the top-2.

In this match, wicketkeeper-batsman Jitesh Sharma took command in place of RCB’s regular captain Rajat Patidar. The regular captain of the team was not fully fit, he could only bat, not fielding, so he was kept in the list of substitute players. After the match, Jitesh Sharma spoke on the team’s performance. He admitted that his team looted about 20-30 runs and did not show the expected boom in the beginning.
Jitesh said, “I think we gave 20-30 runs more, he batted brilliantly, I had no answer in front of his attack, we were a little rest and in the beginning our intensity was not seen. Jitesh praised the team bowling and said the team bowled brilliantly in the death overs.

In the conversation after the match, Jitesh said something that is being discussed a lot. Jitesh took this defeat as an essential lesson. He said- Sometimes losing a match is also a good sign because you can analyze your shortcomings, the good thing is that all the players are contributing, after this defeat we have got a chance to review things again, we will move beyond this.

How RCB lost the match
At one time in this match, RCB needed 69 runs in 36 balls and seven wickets were in hand. But SRH overturned the match by taking seven wickets for 26 runs in the next 35 balls. Nitish Reddy and Ishaan Malinga bowled brilliantly and overturned the match.
How is Tim David’s injury ….
Tim David got a hamstring injury for this match. When asked by Jitesh, he told that he was disappointed with his innings, so he could not meet David (Tim) till now. Not yet met David because I was dismissed by being out.
