The Ministry of House Affairs (MHA) has sought a report from the West Bengal government relating to dilution of lockdown steps that could have resulted in spread of the COVID-19 infection.

In an April 10 letter to the Chief Secretary and the Director General of Authorities, West Bengal, the MHA said it had received reports from security firms about “progressive dilution of lockdown” with an increase in the number of exceptions being supplied by the State federal government.
