What was the message of Modi's mega show at Madison Square, Foreign Minister Jaishankar told

Ever since Narendra Modi came to power in 2014, there is a lot of discussion about India’s foreign policy. India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said in Aaj Tak Agenda program that the Modi government has paid a lot of attention to the Indian diaspora. The Foreign Minister said that today when we go on a foreign tour, other politicians talk about our foreign policy. Today the footprint of India’s strength and Indian talent has gone global. The reason for this is that the migrants have joined us. Jaishankar said that the purpose of the mega show at Madison Square in America in 2014 was also to make India a place in the minds of the Indian diaspora.

The Foreign Minister said that it was our good fortune that when the Prime Minister went to America and for the first time such a program took place, I was a part of it. He said that it is the job of the opposition to protest, but the message from the Prime Minister and the government was that our relations with the expatriates who are there are very deep. He said that later this program also happened in UK and Canada.

S Jaishankar said that expatriates living abroad act as a bridge for us to build relations with other countries. We consider them our representatives and talents in a way. He said that it is the result of the mega show that the attachment of the expatriates with India has increased a lot.

He said that we were successful in achieving this goal of ours. The success for me in a way was how this mega show turned out for the migrants. Today the expatriates feel that there is such a Prime Minister in present India who really takes care of them.
