General Pervez Musharraf, former Army Chief and President of Pakistan, died on Sunday after a prolonged illness. Musharraf, suffering from a disease called amyloidosis, was undergoing treatment at the American Hospital in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Musharraf was suffering from a disease called amyloidosis. There were many turning points in Pervez Musharraf’s life when he had to take very difficult decisions.

In the year 2008, during the presidential term, complete preparations were made to impeach him. Two political parties came on one platform and wanted to impeach Musharraf, their demand was that either Musharraf should resign or get ready for impeachment. The decision was very difficult, but instead of facing impeachment, Musharraf thought it better to resign from the post of President and went to Britain shortly after leaving the post. 27 November 2019: HC restrains special court from pronouncing verdict in sedition case

5 December 2019: The special court said that now the verdict will be pronounced on December 17.

17 December 2019: Special court sentences Musharraf to death
