Yashasvi dominates Vizag! Scored the first century of ODI career, made many records

Yashasvi Jaiswal made a splash with the bat in the third match of the ODI series against South Africa. On 6 December (Saturday), Yashasvi completed the first century of his ODI international career in the match played at Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam. Yashasvi completed his century in 111 balls with the help of 10 fours and one six. Overall, Yashasvi scored 116 unbeaten runs.

If seen, Yashasvi Jaiswal has now joined those Indian batsmen who have scored centuries in all three formats of international cricket (T20I, Test and ODI). Before Yashasvi, only Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Shubman Gill were able to do this.

This was only Yashasvi Jaiswal’s fourth ODI international match for India. Yashasvi got a chance in all three matches during the ODI series against South Africa due to injury to Shubman Gill. Yashasvi was able to score 18 runs in Ranchi ODI. Then in Raipur ODI also, only 22 runs came from his bat. But he has answered the critics by performing well on the ground of Visakhapatnam.

During this, Yashasvi Jaiswal along with Rohit Sharma made a partnership of 155 runs for the first wicket. This was India’s second highest opening partnership against South Africa in One Day International. Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly are at the forefront in this matter. Ganguly-Sachin had made a partnership of 193 runs against South Africa in Johannesburg in 2001.

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s test career has been quite brilliant. He has scored 2511 runs in 28 test matches at an average of 49.23. In test matches, he scored 7 centuries and 13 half-centuries. Yashasvi has played 23 T20 International matches for India. During this period, he has 723 runs in his name at an average of 36.15. Yashasvi has scored a century and a half-century in T20 International.
