India stayed unbeaten at the end of the Cricket World Cup 2023 group phase with a good triumph over Netherlands in Bengaluru on Sunday. Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul knocked fantastic centuries while Indian pacers continued their dazzling run of kind as India won by 160 runs. This was India’s ninth win on the trot and ended the group phase with 18 points. Netherlands, on the other hand, ended in the last position with simply 4 points. Sri Lanka completed ninth and lost out on the Champions Trophy slot while Bangladesh wound up in the 8th position with 4 points. India will deal with New Zealand in the very first semi-final encounter while Australia and South Africa will deal with each other in the 2nd semi-final match. Pakistan ended 5th with 8 points and a Net Run Rate (NRR) of -0.199.

Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul struck stunning centuries as India actually out-batted Netherlands by 160 go to complete their World Cup league engagements with a record 9 wins on trot.

The hosts produced a strong batting screen to publish a massive 410 for 4 with Iyer (128 not out off 94 balls) knocking a career-best ODI lot, while KL Rahul (102 off 64 balls) struck the fastest World Cup hundred by an Indian. The duo included 208 run 128 balls.

Rohit Sharma (61 ), Virat Kohli (51) and Shubman Gill (51) likewise scored sizzling fifties after India decided to bat.

In reply, the Netherlands, offered a much better screen versus fancied Indian attack compared to a few of the earlier opposition groups, as they were bowled out for 250 in 47.5 overs.

Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja all cracked in with a number of wickets each.
