Veteran wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni will play for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2025. The former Team India and CSK captain has been retained by the five-time champions as an uncapped player for Rs 4 crore.
However, in a bad news to the fans, the 43-year old cricketer has revealed that he is not hundred percent fit.
“I am not fit as I used to be and the efforts are needed to play in the IPL. I have to be very specific as far as my food habits are concerned. I am doing my stuff to stay fit for cricket. We are not fast bowlers so our needs are not intense,” said Dhoni during a recent interaction.
“I play a lot of sports like tennis, badminton and football. It helps me to stay fit. I also go to the gym to remain fit,” he added.

Still the aggressive batter played 14 matches in that edition and scored runs at an impressive strike rate of 220.54.
Notably, Dhoni is known as the most successful captain in IPL. As the captain in the cash-rich league, he has won 133 matches from a total of 226 matches.
