IPL 2025: With the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 now done and dusted, the focus would now shift to the cash-rich Indian Premier League. Some franchises have already started their pre-season camps. For example, Punjab Kings had a training session with the available players on Tuesday. During the session, PBKS new recruit Yuzvendra Chahal seemed to be having a lot of fun meeting his new team members.

Chahal was ensuring that the atmosphere in the camp was jovial. Chahal, who is known for his humour, did not waste any time in making a spot for himself in the hearts of his new teammates. In fact, in a session posted on the official social media handles of PBKS, Chahal can be seen imitating Pakistan’s captain Mohammed Rizwan. He said Pakistan wicketkeeper’s famous line, “Yes, it is a two.”

Meanwhile, PBKS are one of the few sides who are yet to win the coveted IPL trophy. With a new-look side in place, PBKS would like to rewrite history in the upcoming 2025 season.

The franchise would also hope Chahal can contribute in a big way for Punjab .

The leg-spinner was with Rajasthan Royals for three years before getting released. He is easily one of the best spinners in the history of IPL.

Even in 2024, Chahal picked up 18 wickets in 15 games. And overall, he has played 312 IPL games picking up 364 wickets.

Chahal played the last of his 152 internationals for Team India back in August 2023. Since then, he has not found a spot in the playing XI due to the emergence of young spinners like Washington Sundar, Axar Patel.

He was part of the 2024 T20 World Cup , but unfortunately, he did not play a single game in India’s victorious run.
