Actor Fred Willard Dead At 86

Fred Willard, the comedic actor who appeared in “This Is Back Tap,” “Best In Program” and “Everyone Likes Raymond,” passed away of natural causes on Friday night. He was 86.

Willard’s representatives confirmed his death to Rolling Stone and The Hollywood Press Reporter on Saturday.

Willard’s better half, playwright Mary Willard, passed away in 2018 at the age of71

Over his long career, Willard earned four Emmy nominations, consisting of one nod for his guest-starring deal with the ABC series “Modern Household.” Willard’s character, Frank Dunphy, passed away earlier this year. The actor appeared on 14 episodes of the show.

Born in Shaker Heights, Ohio, Willard appeared in a variety of films in the 1960 s and ’70 s including, “Teenage Mother,” “Jenny,” “Silver Streak” and “Enjoyable With Dick and Jane,” according to The Hollywood Press Reporter.

He later on memorably appeared in movies “Anchorman” and “Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.”

Steve Carell, who played Brick Tamland in “Anchorman,” grieved Willard on Twitter Saturday, composing that the comedian was “the funniest individual that I’ve ever worked with.”
