The variety of infections in the area continue to rise.
The WHO’s South East Asia area consists of 11 countries, practically all of which have actually now taped infection cases.
Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh, Regional Director of the WHO South East Asia region, said on Tuesday that “more clusters of infection transmission are being verified”.
Malaysia, which now has the greatest number of cases in the area, did not put any rigorous social distancing steps in place till it had a big leap in the number of cases.
