In America, a person has been arrested for attacking the president of his own company with a knife. This stabbing incident is being said to be inspired by the recent murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Manhattan. According to a report by Fox News, Eric Denslow, president of Anderson Express Inc., was attacked during a meeting at the company’s office in Michigan on December 17.
The Fruitport Township Police Department said Denslow was stabbed by company employee Nathan Mahoney, 32, who had joined Anderson Express a few weeks earlier. According to police, Mahoney left the meeting briefly at 9.20 am and returned about 10 minutes later. He approached Denslow and allegedly stabbed him. Mahoney fled the scene, but was caught by officers 15 minutes later. At present, the condition of injured Denslow remains serious but stable after undergoing surgery. Police is busy investigating why the accused attacked.
The accused is in jail
Paulson told News 8 that investigators are examining the suspect’s social media accounts to determine a motive behind the incident. Mahoney has been charged with assault with intent to murder and fleeing from police. He is currently being held in the Muskegon County Jail on a $501,000 bond.
The company provides services to the automotive and defense industry.
Anderson Express, a manufacturing company serving the automotive and defense industries, expressed surprise at the incident. A company spokesperson said they are focused on helping Denslow recover and supporting employees affected by the attack. Denslow, who will be promoted to president of Anderson Express within a year of joining the company in 2022, is expected to make a full recovery. The company has not yet responded to further inquiries regarding the incident.
