Protesters in Kentucky are on appetite strike requiring justice for Breonna Taylor, a black female killed by authorities in her house in March.
The strike comes as thousands of US employees walk off the task on Monday to oppose bigotry, inequality and police brutality.
The Strike for Black Lives builds the country-wide protests over the death of a black man, George Floyd, in Might.
Many of the striking workers are considered “important” in the pandemic.
Organisers said tens of thousands of workers in at least 25 cities were anticipated to object for at least part of the work day on Monday.
Those not able to leave the task for the whole day are instead holding lunch break rallies and kneeling for 8 minutes and 46 seconds – the time that Minneapolis district attorneys initially said that ex-Officer Derek Chauvin knelt on Floyd’s neck, supposedly killing him.
