Apple and Google today revealed they were partnering up on a contact tracing system that works on both iOS and Android that alerts people when they’ve had contact with somebody who’s contracted coronavirus. This collaboration between the two huge mobile phone companies would assist health officials effectively track the spread of the illness while (ideally) not breaching users’ privacy.
