Previously this year, she had six nail technicians, a full-time receptionist and a cleaning person, a remodelled salon, and a following that consisted of as many as 45 clients on a busy day.
Now Caraballo, 38, doesn’t know for how long it will be before her customers can when again sit side by side at her black shimmery nail bar for manicures, or on her hair salon’s long studded bench to have pedicures.
” We were pretty successful prior to this,” stated Caraballo. She’s running the numbers to determine if she can operate at half her typical capacity – the level she approximates will enable adequate area between clients to fulfill social distancing standards. “It will have to work one method or the other, even if I need to cut some expenditures or inventory.”
She is still waiting on clearance from city and state officials to resume her salon, which has actually been shutt
